A team from Surallah Water District (SWD), composed of engineering personnel and members of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), conducted a benchmarking at the Kabacan Water District on November 12, 2024. The visit aimed to gather valuable insights as SWD plans to construct its office building in the coming year.
SWD’s General Manager Engr. Antonio V Canieso requested benchmarking to explore the factors contributing to the efficiency and success of the construction of KWD’s administration building. The benchmarking included site visits, interviews, and a thorough review of relevant documents related to the planning and construction of the KWD facility. The goal was to gain knowledge and guidance that would aid SWD in their office construction plans.
KWD General Manager Ferdie Mar Balungay, along with division managers, unit heads, and key personnel, shared their expertise and experiences throughout the construction process. They offered valuable insights into effective methods, problems encountered, and solutions implemented during the project.
Indeed, benchmarking is a powerful tool for organizations to assess their current practices and identify areas for growth and improvement by learning from others’ experiences.
KWD expressed gratitude for the visit and was honored to host the SWD team. KWD is grateful to share during the benchmarking activity the challenges it faced and strategies undertaken (for its admin building construction) that could, in any way, help in the success of the upcoming construction of SWD’s office building.
